Description and identification

Perennial herbaceous plant that reaches a height of 30-40 cm. Flowers yellow, erect, 1.5-2 cm in diameter. Petals broadly elliptical, clearly concave at the apex, longer than the sepals¹.

Habitat

Meadows, pastures².

Distribution in Bulgaria

Stara Planina (western and middle), Znepol region, Vitosha, Osogovo, Pirin, Rila, Western Rhodopes; from 1000 to 1800 m alt^3.

General distribution

Bulgaria, Greece, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy⁴.
