Description and identification

Armeria rumelica is an herbaceous annual plant. Stems 25-60 cm tall, erect. Flowering June-August¹.

Habitat

On dry grassy and stony places in the bushes and on the edges of the forests in the foothills and mountain belt².

Distribution in Bulgaria

It grows almost all over the country from 400 to 2000 meters above sea level. NOT found in the floristic regions: Eastern Stara Planina, Strandzha and the Black Sea coast³.

General Distribution

Bulgaria, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Greece, the European part of Turkey⁴.
