Lilium jankae A. Kern.
The species is PROTECTED by the law in Bulgaria.
Perennial herbaceous plant. Stem erect, up to 60 cm high. Leaves numerous, spirally arranged, oblong-lanceolate. Flowers one or several at the top of the stem, up to 6 cm in diameter, golden yellow, usually to its base with purple dots and streaks. Flowering June-August[1].
In the high mountain meadows[2].
In the mountains Vitosha, Stara Planina (Western and Central), Rila, Western Sredna Gora, Western Border Mountains and Znepol region; between 1500 and 2900 meters above sea level[3].
Bulgaria, Greece, the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Romania (Carpathians) and Italy[4].
