Description and identification

Perennial herbaceous plant to 50 cm tall. The leaves are 10-25 mm long and 2-7 mm wide. The flowers are 20-32 mm in diameter. Flowering May-July[1].


Habitat

Dry, rocky, calcareous places[2].


Distribution in Bulgaria

In the next floristic region: The Black Sea coast; North-Eastern Bulgaria, Stara Planina (Eastern), Sofia Region, Znepole Region, Vitosha Region, West Frontier Mountains, The Struma Valley, The Slavianka, The Pirin, The Rila, The Rhodopes (Middle and Eastern), Thracian Plane, The Tundzha Hilly Plane and The Strandzha; between 0 and 1000 m a.s.l.[3].
