Euphorbia salicifolia is a perennial plant. Stems numerous, 40-70 (-80) cm high, erect, short hirsute to glabrous, simple or in the upper part with numerous non-fruiting branches reaching the apical inflorescence. Leaves (especially young) densely hirsute on abaxial surface, 20-70 (100) mm long and 3-25 (-35) mm wide. The glands in the cyathium are crescent shaped with hornlike appendages.
