Description and identification

Herbaceous perennial plant. Height 2 - 10 cm. The plants have short stems and form dense tufts. Flowering June - September^[1].

Habitat

Rocky and grassy places in the mountains^[2].

Distribution in Bulgaria

Rila, Pirin, West border mountains, Rhodopes mountain (west and middle), Vitosha, Stara Planina (middle), between 1400-2700 m altitude^[3].

General distribution

Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece. Balkan endemic^[4].
