Leaves 0.5-2 cm long and 1.5-4 mm wide, gray-green to gray, densely covered with star-shaped hairs; lower oblong-obovate to narrowly oblong, gradually narrowed to the base into a shorter or longer winged petiole. Flower pedicels 2-3 mm long, erect. Sepals 2.5-3 mm long and 0.6-1.2 mm wide, erect, usually obtuse at the apex, densely covered with star-shaped hairs, often pinkish-purple, with a narrow white membranous stripe at the end.
