Description and identification

Tragopogon balcanicus is a biennial herb, 10 to 45 cm tall. Flowers violet. The leaves are linear-filiform. Flowernig May-July¹.

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the floristic regions: Danube Plain, Stara Planina, Sofia Region, Znepol Region, Vitosha, Strum Valley, Slavyanka, Pirin, Mesta Valley, Sredna Gora (Western), Rhodopes, Thracian Lowland; to 1000 meters altitude².
