Herbaceous perennial plant. The stem 0.6-1.5 m high. The leaves are entire or toothed. Flower heads 2-4 cm in diameter. The stem is branched, at the top the flower heads combined into umbel. Fruits covered with hairs. Flowering June-August1.
In sparse xerophilous forests and scrub, on dry rocky, stony and grassy places, on limestone2.
