NOT protected species in Bulgaria.

Description and identification

Herbaceous perennial plant, 15 to 30 cm tall. Flower head 10-17 mm in diameter, collected in thyroid inflorescences. The ligulate floret are white, 8-10 in a flower head. Flowering July-September^[1].

Habitat

Grassy and rocky places in the high mountain belt^[2].

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the mountains Sredna Stara Planina, Vitosha, Rila, Pirin, Osogovo and Western Rhodopes (peak Syutka); between 1900 and 2600 meters above sea level^[3].
