Inula hirta L.
NOT protected species in Bulgaria.
Inula hirta is a herbaceous perennial plant.
Leaves with prominent reticulate venation on both surfaces, hirsute, entire or denticulate, the lower 4-8 x 1-2 cm, obovate- or oblanceolate-oblong, the upper sessile, not or slightly amplexicaul.
Capitula medium to large; involucre 10-13 mm, hemispherical; bracts hirsute, the outer 10-12 x 1-2-2 mm, lanceolate, the inner 10-12 x 0-7-1 mm, linear.
Ligules 15-30 mm, much exceeding the involucre.
Achenes c. 2 mm, glabrous.
Pappus with c. 30 setae1.
Flowering July-September.
Shrubs, sparse forests, forest glades and forest edges, in grassy and rocky places, in the plains and mountains2.
Throughout the country from sea level to 1500 meters above sea level3.
