Description and identification

Asperula capitata is an herbaceous perennial plant. Stems 10-20 cm tall, erect. Flowering July-August¹.

Habitat

On calcareous rocky places, in rock crevices, in the mountains².

Distribution in Bulgaria

Central Stara Planina, Western Border Mountains, Belasitsa, from 1500 to 2000 meters altitude³.

General Distribution

Bulgaria and Romania (Southern and Eastern Carpathians)⁴.
