Description and identification

Pyracantha coccinea is a evergreen shrub.

Flowering May-June¹.

Habitat

Sparse mixed forests, scrubland and dry rocky terrain².

Distribution in Bulgaria

Native in the floristic regions: Strandzha, the Black Sea coast and Northeastern Bulgaria, from 50 to 1000 m above sea level. It is grown in gardens and parks and in other places in Bulgaria³.
