NOT protected species in Bulgaria.


Description and identification

Herbaceous perennial plant. Height up to 15 cm. The basal leaves pinnate. The terminal leaflet broadly rounded, much larger than lateral. The petals 12-18 mm long, yellow. Flowering May-July[1].


Habitat

Mountain meadows and pastures, grasslands, rocky meadows and rocky slopes in the mountain belt[2].


Distribution in Bulgaria

In the mountains Western and Central Stara Planina, Vitosha, Osogovska, Slavyanka, Pirin, Rila, Sredna gora, Western Rhodopes, between 1600 and 2700 m altitude[3].


General distribution

The mountains of Central and Southern Europe[4].
