Description and identification

A annual herb, stems that are 10-40 см tall. Flowering May-September¹.

Habitat

On dry, grassy places, along roads, buildings, ditches, on sands, as a weed².

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the following floristic regions: Black Sea Coast, North-Eastern Bulgaria, Danube Plain, Central and Eastern Stara Planina, Sofia Region, Znepol Region, Vitoshki Region, Strumska Dolina, Pirin, Middle and Eastern Rhodopes, Thracian Lowland, Tundzhan Hilly Plain, from sea level to 800 meters altitude³.

The species is also considered as Plantago indica L. or Plantago arenaria Waldst. & Kit. and others.
