Description and identification

Cedrus atlantica is an evergreen tree reaching a height of up to 40 m and with a trunk diameter of up to 200 cm. The cones are 5-8 cm high and 3-5 cm wide. Flowering September-October¹.

Habitat

Atlas cedar is a fast-growing, long-lived, light-loving, heat-loving and undemanding to soil conditions tree species².

Introduced species in Bulgaria. In plantations, gardens, parks, courtyards and streets³.
