Description and identification

Perennial herbaceous plant.

Stolons hypogeal, fleshy.

Stems up to 200 cm, robust, usually villous or tomentose.

Leaves 2-12x0.5-3.5 cm, oblong to lanceolate, sessile, semiamplexicaul, sharply serrulate.

Petals (6-)10-16 mm, bright purplish-pink.

Seeds 1-1-5 mm, obovoid1.

Flowering June-September2.

In the whole country; to 1400 meters altitude3.
