Description and identification

Perennial herbaceous plant.

Stem 5-35 cm high.

Sporangia kidney-shaped, located on the inside at the base of the leaf in the middle part of the stem.

Spore-bearing July-October¹.

Habitat

Moist rocky, mostly semi-shaded and shady places with a northern exposure in the mountain and alpine belt of the high mountains².
