Description and identification

Ornithogalum sigmoideum is a herbaceous plant.

The inflorescence peduncle is short, almost absent - the inflorescence begins from the soil surface.

The flower pedicels, after anthesis, are curved downwards towards the stem, thickened at the base.

The bulb has no small bulbs at its base.

Flowering March-May¹.

Habitat

Meadows, pastures and scrublands².

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the whole country; from 0 to 2925 meters meters altitude³.
