Conservation status and threats

NOT protected species in Bulgaria.


Description and identification

Perennial plant. Stem 40 to 80 cm. The leaves are flat, linear, wider than 1 cm. The flowers are star-like; pedicel colour (during anthesis) dark green to purplish; tepal colour (during anthesis) yellowish yellow-green to purplish; tepal length (4.5–)4.85–6.65(–7) mm; tepal width 1.5–2 2.5–3.5(–4) mm; the filament shape is triangular; ovary colour (during anthesis) purplish to black. Flowering May[1][2].


Distribution in Bulgaria

In the next floristic regions: The Black Sea coast (south), Thracian Plane, The Tundzha Hilly Plane and The Rhodopes (middle end east); from 0 and 1000 meters above sea level[3].
