Conservation status and threats

NOT protected species in Bulgaria.

Description and identification

Herbaceous perennial plant, reaching a height of 30 to 50 cm. The leaves are composed of 1 to 2 pairs of approximate, sessile, linear to linear-lanceolate leaflets. Flowering May-June^[1].

Habitat

Shrubs and light forests^[2].

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the following floristic regions: Black Sea coast, Northeastern Bulgaria, Stara Planina (eastern), Sofia region, Vitosha region, Struma valley, Thracian lowland, Tundzha hilly plain, Rhodopes (middle and eastern) and Strandja; from sea level up to 800 meters above sea level^[3].
