Tamus communis L. Also as Dioscorea communis (L.) Caddick & Wilkin.

NOT protected species in Bulgaria.

Herbaceous perennial plant. Stems are to 3 m high. Flowering May - July.

The species is distributed throughout the country, between 0 and 1200 m altitude. [Delipavlov & al., 2003].
