Description and identification

Minuartia verna is a perennial herbaceous plant. The plant form dense tufts. The sepals have 3 veins. The petals are longer than the calyx, obtuse at the tip. The anthers are pink to purple^1.

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the next floristic regions: Znepole region, Slavyanka, Pirin, Rila, Rhodopes, Central and Eastern Stara Planina, Mesta River Valley; from 1000 and 2900 meters above sea level².

Habitat

The grassy and stony places in the mountain and alpine zone⁴.
