Description and identification

Herbaceous biannual plant. Height 15 to 30 cm. Stems several or numerous, ascending and erect, form loose tufts. Flowering May-Augus^[1].

Habitat

High mountain meadows and pastures^[2].

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the mountains of Rila, Pirin, Vitosha, Western and Central Stara Planina, Sredna gora, Belasitsa, Western Border Mountains, Rhodopes, Slavyanka and Osogovo; where it grows from (1300) 1500 to 2600 meters above sea level^[3].

Synonyms

Campanula patula subsp. epigaea (Janka ex Degen) Hayek.
