Description and identification

Xanthium spinosum is an annual herbaceous plant. The stems are 10 to 100 cm high. The leaves are green above, gray-green below. Stems with yellow three pronged spine. Flowering July-October¹.

Habitat

Waste places and pastures².

Distribution in Bulgaria

Across the country from 0 to 1000 meters altitude³.
