Tephroseris papposa (Rchb.) Schur.
NOT protected species in Bulgaria.
Herbaceous perennial. Stems erect, up to 130 cm, densely hairy. Leaves on lower surface are silvery. Basal leaves 10–25 cm long, 2-6 cm wide. Involucre with one row bracts. Flowering May - August[1].
The plant grows in forest and mountain meadows and rocky places in the mountains, less often in the lowlands and foothills[2].
In the next floristic regions: The Black Sea coast (northern), The Danubian Plain, North-Eastern Bulgaria, Stara Planina, Vitosha Region, Znepole Region, West Frontier Mountains, The Belasitsa, The Slavianka, The Rhodopes, The Rila, The Pirin; 0-2300 m alt[3].
Balkan Peninsula (central and northern parts), Carpathians (eastern and southern), Western Ukraine, Northeast Italy[4].
