Description and identification

Artemisia vulgaris is a perennial herbaceous plant, 150 cm tall. Leaves with dense, white, tomentose hairs on the underside. Flowernig July-October¹.

Distribution in Bulgaria

Throughout the country from sea level to 1000 (2000) meters altitude².

General distribution

Europe (excluding the extreme northern and southern parts), the Caucasus, Siberia, Central and Southwest Asia. Adventitious (introduced) to North America³.
