Description and identification

Perennial herbaceous plant. Stem 10-30 (40) cm high, erect, unbranched. The leaves are sessile, simple, punctate glandular, fibrous to glabrous, spatulate, 20-40 (50) mm long and 10-20 mm wide. Flowering June-August^[1].

Habitat

High mountain meadows and rocky places^[2].

Distribution in Bulgaria

In the mountains of Western and Central Stara Planina, Znepol region (Milevska square), Vitosha region, Western border mountains (Osogovska square), Pirin, Rila, Western Rhodopes (Syutka peak); between 1700 and 2300 m altitude^[3].

General Distribution

Southeastern Europe (Eastern and Southern Carpathians, the mountains in the northern and central part of the Balkan Peninsula south to Northern Greece)^[4].
